Information about coronavirus in the United States

On March 11, 2020 the President of the United States, in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus to the United States from other countries, issued a proclamation under section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to restrict travel to the United States from foreign nationals who have recently been in Schengen countries.

The entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of all aliens who were physically present within Schengen Area during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States is suspended and limited. Additional information is available here.

Please note that limitations apply to aliens entering the country, not to returning visitors.
